SOHP Elections Underway:

All voting members of SOHP should have received an invitation to participate in electing a new President-Elect and two Members at Large to serve on incoming President Tammy Allen’s executive committee. We hope you will make your voice heard by casting your vote. The deadline to cast ballots has been extended to December 13th.

SOHP Call for Nominations:

SOHP is gearing up for its next election, and we are looking for your help in identifying strong candidates for our elected positions. We will be electing a President-Elect and two Members at Large to serve on incoming President Tammy Allen’s executive committee. Each of these positions is for a two-year term that will run from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2019. The new President-Elect will then assume office as SOHP president on January 1, 2020 and complete his/her term on December 31, 2021. This will be followed by a two-year term as Past President, from January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2023.

Candidates must be current full members of SOHP in good standing with the organization. These positions are vital to the continued growth and development of the organization. Additionally, for the individuals involved, they represent an opportunity to have an important influence on the field of OHP.  So, please nominate someone and/or please consider running yourself.  We hope to have a diverse array of candidates, including both practitioners and academics, from a range of academic backgrounds.

Only full 2017-2018 members of SOHP are eligible to nominate and vote in SOHP elections. If you hold a graduate degree and would like your professional membership category re-evaluated for possible transfer to the full membership category, please email our membership chair, Jessie Zhan, at membership@sohp-online.org.

To nominate someone, send the name of the person you wish to nominate and the position for which you would like to nominate him/her to the members of our elections committee:
Tammy Allen (tallen@mail.usf.edu)
Jessie Zhan (yzhan@wlu.ca)
Lisa Kath (Lisa.Kath@sdsu.edu)

You are welcome to nominate as many people as you like for each position. Please send your nominations by OCTOBER 31, 2017.

The approximate time table for the process is as follows:

If you have any questions about the positions or the process please contact President-Elect Tammy Allen (tallen@mail.usf.edu)
